Taylor Collison derived from several significant Adelaide families and merchant houses. Gordon Taylor attained a seat on the Adelaide Stock Exchange in 1925 which he held for 50 years, forming the predecessor firm of Taylor Langley in 1928.
Taylor Langley became Taylor Lang in 1941. Subsequently our name changed again in 1963 to Taylor & Collison. In this year Richard Lloyd Collison acquired a Stock Exchange seat made vacant by the premature death of our then director Ken Dobinson (who had acquired the seat from Cliff Lang in 1958).
In 1975 Taylor & Collison merged with Turnbull & Co becoming Taylor Collison Turnbull & Pittman. In 1988 it incorporated and adopted our current name of Taylor Collison Limited.
